Les “Cannoli” sont probablement le dessert le plus celèbre de la tradition sicilienne. Leur nom vien du mot cannolo, que signifie “petit tube” en langue locale. Ce dessert est dévenu très populaires en Amérique aussi, en raison des beaucoups de siciliens qu’y vivent.

Nos Cannoli se composent d’une croûte de pâte frite et d’une farce à base de ricotta de brebis tramisée et sucrée, avec du chocolat et fruits confits; ils sont produits en divers mesures, de très petits au très grands qu’on peut trouver dans les vraies patisseries siciliennes.
Les Cannoli ont été creé à Palermo; Autrefois produit uniquement durant la période du carnaval, ils sont aujourd’hui préparés toute l’année, et sont vraiment bons en été grâce à leur fraîcheur.
